


2010 Am and Pro Player's of the Year
On New Year’s Day at the 4th Annual Hangover Classic the Funkytown Flyers handed out our Player of the Year award. In the past we have had a single Player of the Year honor. This year we had two outstanding contenders for the award so a decision was made expand the award to both Am and Pro Players.
In 2010 Andrew Ramirez competed in 14 tournaments in both Recreational and Intermediate divisions. Andrew had 5 top tens while collecting 656 Points for the year. Starting the year with a 753 Player Rating and finishing with at 862, for a total gain of 109 rating points. Andrew showed incredible improvement and is well deservering of the Amaterur Player of the Year.
Tony Shirley competed in 21 tournaments this past year in both Open and Masters Divisions. Tony amassed 6 wins and 4 runner-up finishes while finishing 26th at the Pro Worlds. Additionally he cashed in 15 events collecting a total of $2,788 and had recently been added to the roster of sponsored players by Dynamic Discs.
