All Out Trinity: The Funkytown Flyers Disc Golf Experience

The City of Dallas, the Trinity Commons Foundation and the Dallas County Corridor Project have taken an initiative to promote community health and wellness via the All Out Trinity festival on March 1st 2014. A variety of free family activities will be made available to the public, in the interest of promoting healthy lifestyle activities for the residents of Dallas and its surrounding communities. Included in those free family activities will be DISC GOLF. YES, WE SAID DISC GOLF

Funkytown Flyers Disc Golf has graciously accepted All Out Trinity’s invitation to host a 6 hole introductory course, in the shadows of the beautiful Margaret Hunt Hill bridge, on the banks of the majestic Trinity River. The board of directors has assembled a team of professional educators/members to introduce disc golf to the festival participants and guide them through our disc golf experience. The 6 hole course will enable players to focus on the fundamentals of disc flight and allow them to embrace the spirit of the game, all in a relaxed festival atmosphere.

We are incredibly grateful to the fine folks at All Out Trinity and truly appreciate this opportunity to GROW THE SPORT.  We will host The Funkytown Flyers Disc Golf Experience from 10:00-4:00, make sure you drop by and say hello. NO NEED TO BRING YOUR BAG, THIS COURSE IS PUTTER ONLY!!!

UPDATE: The Funkytown Flyers Disc Golf Experience was an excellent opportunity to showcase our beloved sport to a large community: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED ! Our staff of educators and volunteers did a world class job escorting over one hundred people through our six hole introductory course. There were even veteran disc golfers in attendance to join in the fun. Enjoying disc golf with the City of Dallas & The Margaret Hunt Hill as the back drop was an experience unparalleled in disc golf.  None of this would have been accomplished without the assistance of our generous sponsors. Please ensure you take a moment to appreciate the fine folks of Straight Line Disc & UDisc, the only disc golf application you will ever need.
