by Eric McCabe – Shooting rounds all week long that would blow the minds of mere mortals shows just how hard it is to win a World title. Defending champ Eric “Sprout” McCabe finished in 6th place this year, proving yet again that he is among the few top elite disc golfers in the world. Eric is from Emporia, Kansas and maintains local residence in DFW during the off-season, but his real home is on tour, living the dream. Always a big supporter of DFW golf, we could not be more proud to have a Funkytown Flyer that is such a great guy and one of the best in the world.
Liz Lopez – Liz finished 3rd in the World Championships this year. Her best-ever finish at this level. Shooting amazing rounds, she has proven that she is one of the absolute best golfers in the world. Liz has moved all over the place since she started in disc golf, but definitely a Texas girl: Corpus, San Antonio, Round Rock, Denton, etc. She attends UNT in Denton and we are proud to have her as a club member.
Tony Shirley – Tony proved this year that he is one of the best Masters in the World. Making the semi’s and finishing 18th in Santa Cruz, Tony has come a long way in a short time. The Flyers and the ADGA could not be more proud of Tony, and expect more great things from in the future.
